There’s nothing quite like the feeling of malaise come domain renewal time and realizing that you haven’t posted so much as a zigabyte since last November.
I confess I fell behind on Vie-capping Doctor Who. (Duh. Like this blog isn’t proof enough.) Heck, I didn’t even watch episode 10, or the New Year’s Special and that one had a Dalek in it.
Ah well. I have until early 2020 to catch up, yes?
And on that note, I am going to vworp vworp away, but nowhere nearly as long as this last break. 2019 Con Season is ramping up, with the Cornwall and Area Pop Event at the end of this month, and Ottawa ComicCon on Mother’s Day Weekend in May. The Doctor Who Society of Canada, of which I am a card-carrying member (funny how writing this out reminds me, I owe them some ha’pennies for renewal), will have a presence at both events and will be raising funds as always for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
Fun Fact: Have you twigged that Mark Benton, currently starring alongside Jo Joyner in Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators on your local PBS station as well as BBC Canada, also has a tie to Doctor Who? He played conspiracy theorist Clive in “Rose,” the first episode of the rebooted series.
(Frankly, if you want to know, I’ve been binging on S&H, the new series of Father Brown, Vera, and Death In Paradise, all of which are very good and I am enjoying them greatly.)
Ta, for now….
